Henderson Springs has completed a number of ranch improvement projects including the construction of a salt water spa and pool. Look for new photos in our gallery.

Henderson Springs is a 500 acre fly-fishing paradise located in the remote northern California wilderness.  Four spectacular lakes and a 1/2 mile meandering spring creek offer some of the most exciting trophy trout fishing found anywhere.  These catch and release waters are open only to our guests, ensuring a private and unpressured fishery.  Henderson Springs is a fly-fishing only resort (no spin or bait fishing) catering to serious adult anglers (children 12 years of age or older are welcome).

Back country fly-fishing here is a unique experience.  Henderson Springs offers privacy and unparalleled exposure to nature ~ you are bound to spot soaring eagles, nesting honkers, turkey, quail, otter, beaver, deer, fox, or an occasional bear or mountain lion.

Dining

Main Lodge Dining: Ranch Guests have two choices for enjoying their meals.

1. "Full Service" meals are provided by Marcia Rickert (530-337-6220). This is her own catering business and those guests wanting to enjoy her services must call her to make the "Full Service" meal booking and for detail information and special dietary arrangements or special food requests. Payment for "Full Service" meals must be made directly to Marcia Rickert, NOT to Henderson Springs.

Marcia does the shopping, food preparation, and cleanup for a flat fee of $65.00 per person per day. Marcia has had a great deal of experience with food preparation and presentation on the ranch and does a fabulous job. A gourmet evening meal is prepared and served by Marcia. Breakfast and Lunch food is provided by Marcia so that you can fix your own at your convenience. Normally, all Main Lodge Guests must subscribe to "Full Service" meals from Marcia.

2. However, a group who has booked the entire Main Lodge (Seven Rooms), may elect to bring their own food and do their own cooking in the fully appointed kitchen in the main lodge. (Smaller groups and/or individuals may NOT bring food and prepare their own meals in the Main Lodge).

In either case, we are here to ensure that you have a good time and all of your needs are met.

Alcoholic and Soft Drink Beverages are not provided by Marcia or by the Ranch. Bring your own.
